New Zealand Beechwood is a hardwood grown in the South Island.
A world leading MPI approved sustainable harvesting process that ensures protection of the natural forest state.
Using systems that mimic what naturally occurs in nature, the trees are harvested leaving the big mature trees behind for the slow release of nutrients that feeds the new younger crop.
Trees are that are competing for natural resources are hand selected and when harvested, create an opening to bring light into the forest floor so the younger trees can grow.
Our Beech wood is lifted straight up through the canopy using a helicopter, so there is almost zero damage to the soils and ground in the area. The stumps remain in the forest which rot down and become part of the soil.
