Natures Sway are celebrating 25 years of making suspended cotton baby beds in NZ, and we are pleased to announce the arrival of a new range of hammocks in a purpose-made fabric with a superior weave and softer handle. It is an unbleached, natural cotton drill, pre-washed and ready to use.

All our baby hammocks have a natural New Zealand wool mattress, which will keep your little one dry and snug in colder climates or cool in warmer ones due to the special ability of wool fibre to regulate temperature. The baby hammock is easily suspended from any ceiling, beam, door frame, or the Natures Sway stand. All metal parts are marine grade stainless steel aside from the specially designed steel wire spring which provides the signature gentle bounce we are so well known for. The standard baby hammock pack comes with two ceiling hooks, 0.5m chain, 2 karabiner clips, and a door clamp.

Place the baby hammock near to the parent’s bed for regular supervision at night and move it to the living area during the day so baby can be near you and hear your familiar noises. * The Natures Sway Baby Hammock was chosen as the subject of a University of Auckland study on oxygen levels in hammocks compared to a bassinet and there was no difference found. Note this was in our original design pre-2010 which has more curve than the current design with 6 domes on a foot-gate. The authors expected a significant effect from the curve but found none.
